1) Swimming competitions and club activities for 2010
Meeting started with a brief introduction of all club events and competitions for 2010. Details will be shared at the AGM

2) APEX Swim Club's role in the club's representation of Team OCC

An issue that has been revisited many times. Damien has reiterated that swimmers should be able to compete regardless of their training venue and Apex Swim Club serves this very purpose. It is agreed that all Competitive Swimmers must therefore be an APEX member (including the Malaysian and Sports School swimmers)to be eligible for competitive representations.

3) APEX Membership database must be up to date and comprehensive.

APEX Membership Fee :-

- S$18.00 per year (Associate Member)
- S$28.00 per year (Ordinary Member)
- S$30.00 per year (SSA)
- Cheques to be issued to APEX Swim Club
Apex Swim Club has not be collecting payments and the club cannot continue to exist and benefit members this way, thus payment will be collected for the period Jan 2010 to Dec 2010. Members are urged to be prompt with their payments in order for the club to make the necessary financial plans for the year ahead.
As agreed, deadline for membership fees will be on 5 February 2010. The Club will not be responsible nor liable to sign up any swimmers for competitions if they do not cooperate in the payment of the said fees.
To faciliate adminstration Damien has agreed to compile the membership list and membership form soonest.

4. Training Incentives
Ken brought up the point of giving the swimmers some form of incentives to add the element of excitment and challenge during time trials. He made an observation that the swimmers are not taking the time trials seriously and this defeats the purpose of the time trials. He feels that by giving them some incentives, like gift vouchers to those who put in the necessary effort to do well, can serve to motivate and raise the levels of the time trials.Chye Sun expressed same setiments. Damien mentioned that he will take this issue up with the other coaches.
It was also suggested that the club fees can be used as an Incentives for swimmers (eg. Best Improved Swimmers during time trial).

5) James to help update the website.

6) Coming AGM will be on 20 February 2010 at 6pm.

7) Recognising the need for new members to be represented in the committee, Damien will canvas for at least 4 new committee members before the AGM. The committee also recognises the contributions of Ken Kang and Chye Sun who has been instrumental in the formation of Apex Swim Club and many of its events.

8) Damien, Treasurer and President to open a bank account before 30 January 2010 in order to faciliate the Club's finances.
